Patient Appointment Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Kandu, Inc. has implemented the following policy regarding appointment cancellations, no-shows, and rescheduling requests to ensure that we can provide timely, high-quality care to all of our patients.

1. Appointment Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, we require at least 24 hours’ notice for all appointment cancellations.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.

2. Three Strikes Policy

Patients who cancel, reschedule late, or no-show three times will be removed from priority scheduling for future appointments.

  • This ensures we can reserve consistent appointment times for patients who are actively participating.

3. Same Day Call List

Patients who have been removed from priority scheduling can be added to our same day call list. This list is used to fill last-minute appointment openings due to cancellations or no-shows. Spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Being on the list does not guarantee an appointment.

4. Best Practices & Courtesy Reminders

To help you stay on track:

  • We recommend setting reminders for your appointments.
  • If you anticipate a conflict, contact us as early as possible so we can offer your slot to another patient in need.
  • Ongoing attendance is critical for optimal outcomes, and our team is here to support your consistency and progress.

5. Fee Payment & Exceptions

  • Fees may be charged directly to the patient and are not covered by insurance.
  • If a fee is charged, all fees must be paid prior to scheduling any future appointments.
  • Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis for medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances.

6. Acknowledgement & Agreement

By scheduling an appointment with Kandu, Inc., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policyCancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
